Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food and beverage service preferred
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • capability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
  • basic English language proficiency
  • valid food handler certification or willingness to obtain
  • valid TABC license or willingness to obtain
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • knowledge of state, federal and corporate liquor regulations
  • current food handler card or in process of certification
  • valid TABC license
  • basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations and service standards
  • effective guest relations and etiquette skills
  • knowledge of table settings and serviceware
  • ability to understand and communicate in basic English
  • ability to apply written product instructions safely
  • strong memory and ability to promote menu items
  • experience operating beverage equipment

Job Duties

  • greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain any specials or restaurant promotions
  • check station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness
  • record order details from guests and repeat order to confirm accuracy
  • input orders into point of sale system to inform kitchen
  • retrieve and deliver orders to guests with appropriate condiments
  • comply with all liquor regulations regarding serving alcoholic beverages
  • replenish beverages and check on guest satisfaction
  • market and serve desserts or specialty coffees as requested
  • assist bus staff in clearing and resetting tables
  • perform assigned side work including restocking and cleaning
  • present checks promptly
  • follow all company policies and procedures
  • adhere to safety and security rules
  • maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
  • report unsafe conditions and incidents to supervisors
  • assist other restaurant personnel when needed
  • perform any related duties as assigned
