Job Requirements

high school diploma or equivalent
prior experience in food and beverage service preferred
ability to stand and walk for extended periods
capability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
basic English language proficiency
valid food handler certification or willingness to obtain
valid TABC license or willingness to obtain
ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

knowledge of state, federal and corporate liquor regulations
current food handler card or in process of certification
valid TABC license
basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations and service standards
effective guest relations and etiquette skills
knowledge of table settings and serviceware
ability to understand and communicate in basic English
ability to apply written product instructions safely
strong memory and ability to promote menu items
experience operating beverage equipment

Job Duties

greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain any specials or restaurant promotions
check station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness
record order details from guests and repeat order to confirm accuracy
input orders into point of sale system to inform kitchen
retrieve and deliver orders to guests with appropriate condiments
comply with all liquor regulations regarding serving alcoholic beverages
replenish beverages and check on guest satisfaction
market and serve desserts or specialty coffees as requested
assist bus staff in clearing and resetting tables
perform assigned side work including restocking and cleaning
present checks promptly
follow all company policies and procedures
adhere to safety and security rules
maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
report unsafe conditions and incidents to supervisors
assist other restaurant personnel when needed
perform any related duties as assigned
