Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- One to three months related experience and/or training
- Ability to perform essential job functions satisfactory including visual acuity to perform duties
- Ability to communicate effectively with others including hearing and distinguishing speech and other sounds
- Willingness to work specified hours including afternoon shifts and weekends
- Ability to follow safety, sanitation, and food handling protocols
- Physical ability to perform cleaning and food service tasks

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Clean and store dishes according to set departmental standards
- Complete cleaning process efficiently and timely
- Utilize chemicals appropriately
- Maintain work area including sweeping floor, mopping, sanitizing counters, taking out garbage
- Serve foods and assemble trays for residents adhering to diet alterations and menu extensions
- Complete assigned daily cleaning schedule including individual work area, equipment, and storage areas
- Demonstrate required competencies on unit specific checklist
- Follow proper hand washing techniques
- Use basic measuring utensils and follow production and special function sheets
- Follow safe food handling procedures in accordance with department standards and HACCP guidelines
- Abide by schedule and select menus for residents
- Follow dish room, pot and pan procedures including use of chemicals, drying time, and sanitization procedures
