Job Requirements

  • Works indoors
  • Able to stand and walk for 100 percent of the work day
  • Able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs independently
  • Able to bend, stoop, reach and balance frequently
  • Able to see, hear and speak
  • Availability for part-time hours
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Willingness to work on-call rotation
  • Must follow time clock procedures
  • Must maintain personal hygiene and dress code standards

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Experience serving tables in a hotel, restaurant or club preferred but willing to train
  • Ability to interpret and explain the menu
  • Ability to coordinate meal service process and understand requests
  • Ability to work cooperatively with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisors and peers
  • Must exhibit courtesy, tact and graciousness
  • Wears appropriate black non-slip footwear

Job Duties

  • Assist in maintaining a high level of customer service for residents and guests
  • Set tables and maintain workstations in proper order
  • Take orders, provide service and requested items graciously and courteously
  • Clear dishes from tables during and after meal service
  • Answer pertinent questions about menu items
  • Keep work areas clean and orderly
  • Maintain neat and clean appearance and practice good personal hygiene
  • Complete opening and/or closing side work in a timely manner
  • Be reliable and punctual
  • Follow established time clock procedures and avoid unauthorized overtime
  • Work on-call rotation with 24/7 availability to provide coverage
  • Respond quickly and positively to supervisor directions
