Job Qualifications

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Teamwork and cooperation skills
- Physical stamina for standing and moving for extended periods
Job Duties
- Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the restaurant's mission
- Monitor and observe guests dining experience to ensure satisfaction
- Present menus and answer questions about menu items and restaurant services
- Inform guests of menu changes, daily specials, and make genuine recommendations
- Explain menu item preparation, ingredients, and cooking methods
- Describe and recommend wines to guests
- Take food and beverage orders from guests
- Write orders and enter them into the system for kitchen transmission
- Check guests' identification for age compliance on alcoholic beverages
- Serve food, beverages, and specialty dishes at tables
- Prepare itemized checks and handle payments
- Clean tables and counters post dining
- Prepare drinks and chill wine bottles
- Roll silverware and set up food stations or dining areas
- Stock service areas with necessary supplies
- Prepare tables including linens, silverware, and glassware
- Remove dishes and glasses and transport them for cleaning
- Assist with answering phones for reservations and to-go orders
- Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, tidying, and trash removal
- Bring wine selections to tables and pour for guests
- Perform certain food preparation duties like salads and desserts
- Escort guests to their tables
- Fill salt, pepper, and sugar containers
- Thank guests and invite them to return
- Attend employee meetings and contribute improvement suggestions
- Coordinate with and assist employees to meet guest needs
- Fill in for other employees as needed to maintain standards
