Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • at least 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience preferred
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • must be physically fit to handle job demands
  • willingness to live and work aboard ship for 28 weeks
  • pass all required background checks and drug tests
  • comply with company grooming standards
  • US citizenship or permanent resident status
  • ability to follow safety protocols and emergency procedures

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • American citizen or Green Card holder
  • ability to work minimum 12 hours per day, 7 days a week for up to 28 weeks
  • physical ability to meet moderate demands including lifting, bending, climbing, standing, and walking
  • willing to comply with pre-employment drug testing including marijuana and other substances
  • commitment to no alcohol consumption while on duty
  • ability to participate in emergency and safety training
  • adhere to grooming standards regarding visible tattoos and piercings
  • positive attitude and calm under pressure

Job Duties

  • Provide guests with an elegant and memorable dining experience
  • set up and break down breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktail hour including tables, linen, silverware, china, and glassware
  • cater to all culinary requests efficiently
  • acknowledge guests by name, escort to tables, present menus, suggest courses and wines, and answer menu questions
  • relay orders to galley and serve courses and beverages with care ensuring presentation and garnishing
  • perform additional functions like greeting guests upon embarkation, serving afternoon teas and snacks, and catering evening entertainment
  • maintain high standards of hospitality consistent with company values
