Job Duties

  • Ensure guest satisfaction and promote return visits by following the Eight Steps of Service
  • Practice positive public relations by ensuring the restaurant is welcoming and inclusive for all guests
  • Be aware of guests' needs and work to make their experience pleasurable
  • Show enthusiasm and knowledge about new products and special promotions
  • Promote teamwork by assisting other servers to ensure outstanding guest service
  • Thoroughly understand product specifications and ensure guests' receipts match the number of guests dining in their party
  • Perform opening and closing procedures and side work duties
  • Bring equipment and facility problems to the attention of the manager
  • Follow correct table bussing procedures
  • Follow safe work practices to ensure personal safety and the safety of coworkers and guests
  • Perform duty roster and meet cleanliness, service, and quality standards
  • Follow local health department laws
