Job Requirements

Must have reliable transportation
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
Must be able to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 30 lbs
Must be able to stand and walk throughout a 4 to 8 hour shift
Must be able to hear well in a loud environment
Must meet health regulations related to food handling
Must be able to observe and differentiate between monetary denominations
Must be able to serve all Denny's menu products
Must be able to work around potentially hazardous chemicals
Must be able to communicate effectively in English
Must be able to pass required tests and training
Must be dependable and able to learn basic tasks and follow instructions
Must be at least 21 years old in applicable locations

Job Qualifications

Must be able to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing
Possesses excellent guest service skills
Demonstrates knowledge of menu and product offerings
Basic math skills including add, subtract, multiply, and divide
Ability to operate point of sale system
Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
Meets uniform and grooming standards
Minimum age requirement of 21 in locations that free pour alcoholic beverages

Job Duties

Greet guests immediately upon arrival and acknowledge them at departure
Assist with guest seating utilizing proper arrival order and rotation procedures
Suggestively sell menu items and achieve guest check average targets
Accurately enter orders on the point of sale system
Prepare beverage orders as well as appetizers, salads, and desserts
Deliver food and beverage orders timely and according to standards
Attend to guest needs promptly and courteously throughout the dining experience
Use proper telephone etiquette and assist with to-go orders
Pre-bus tables, clear, clean, and preset tables promptly upon guests' departure
Address guest complaints and requests courteously and notify supervisors of any issues
Handle cash, credit card, and discount transactions accurately
Assist team members proactively without being asked
Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining and service areas
Complete all required side-work including deep cleaning assignments
Adhere to Denny's Brand Standards and internal policies
