Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing 11-20 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Experience with POS systems
- Excellent communication and active listening skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Must pass all training tests with 90 percent or higher
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
- Dependable with good attendance
- Willingness to follow all safety policies including use of personal protective equipment
- Ability to prepare and serve alcohol responsibly
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months to one year prior related experience in hospitality or food service
- Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards
- Ability to handle a fast-paced workplace and maintain professionalism under pressure
- Must be knowledgeable about safety and hygiene standards
- Friendly energetic demeanor
- Neat and well-groomed appearance
Job Duties
- Assist in preparing the restaurant for dining service by setting up sections including linens silverware and glassware
- Greet all guests warmly and in a friendly manner
- Review menus with guests and answer questions about menu items offering descriptions and recommendations
- Take guests' food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system
- Check guests' identification to ensure legal alcohol consumption
- Serve food and beverages including performing additional table-side preparation as needed
- Describe and recommend wines and serve with appropriate glasses
- Check with guests to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
- Remove dishes and prepare tables for next guests
- Prepare and present guests' checks and collect payments
- Assist the service team throughout the meal period
- Stock service areas with necessary supplies such as coffee iced tea tableware silverware and linens
- Fill salt pepper sugar cream condiment napkins and drink garnishes
- Follow all policies regarding scheduling attendance and dependability
