Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages according to local state laws
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a high-end fast-paced environment
  • Great knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, and classic cocktails
  • Must have alcohol awareness certification such as ServSafe or TIPs
  • Food handling certificate preferred
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 20 pounds frequently to lift, carry, push, or pull objects
  • Ability to be mobile for a minimum of 6 hours on your feet

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a high-end fast-paced environment
  • Great knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, and classic cocktails
  • Alcohol awareness certification such as ServSafe or TIPs
  • Food handling certificate preferred
  • Level 1 Sommelier certificate is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Attention to detail, cleanliness, and safety
  • Patience and customer-oriented approach
  • Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude
  • Responsible and trustworthy

Job Duties

  • Attend all restaurant required meetings and trainings
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with company standards
  • Have full-time availability including evenings, holidays, and weekends
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and wear proper uniform
  • Follow food safety and sanitary guidelines issued by the Health Department
  • Complete assigned side-work within allocated timeframe
  • Possess superior food and beverage menu knowledge
  • Have complete knowledge of the floor plan, table numbers, and stations
  • Maximize productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions
  • Assist in training new employees as required by management
  • Greet tables within 2 minutes
  • Explain the concept and style of dining to guests
  • Guide guests on food and beverage menus
  • Maintain pacing of service for efficient table turnover
  • Serve dishes to the correct person, provide sharing silverware when necessary
  • Clear, maintain, and reset tables promptly
  • Prepare and present the final bill, process payments
  • Assist with polishing and restocking
  • Collect payment for every table
  • Thank guests and use their names when possible
