Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in hospitality or customer service preferred but not required
Willingness to work temporary shipboard employment for 28 weeks
Ability to perform emergency and safety functions essential to ship operation
No consumption of alcohol while on board as per company policy
Ability to work long hours, including up to 12 hours per day and 7 days per week
Pass federal and Department of Transportation required pre-employment drug test

Job Qualifications

At least eighteen years of age
American citizen or Green Card holder
Able to work a minimum of 12 hours per day for 7 days a week for up to 28 weeks
Ability to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended standing or walking
Successful completion of pre-employment drug test including testing for marijuana and other controlled substances
Willingness to comply with grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
Ability to maintain composure and positive attitude under pressure
Good interpersonal and communication skills

Job Duties

Provide guests with an elegant and memorable dining experience
Efficiently set up and break down breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktail hour including arranging linen, silverware, china, and glassware
Cater to culinary requests in an efficient manner
Acknowledge guests by name, escort them to their tables, present food and beverage menus, suggest courses and wines, and answer questions
Relay orders to the galley and serve courses and beverages ensuring presentation and garnishing
Perform additional functions such as greeting guests upon embarkation, serving afternoon teas and snacks, and catering evening entertainment events
