Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of food service experience
- One year of server experience
- Valid King County Food Handler's Permit
- Valid WSLCB Servers Permit
- Basic computer skills with ability to use Microsoft Office applications
- Strong communication skills with ability to adapt communication for inclusivity
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within diverse teams
- Commitment to personal growth and adherence to attendance standards
- Ability to remain calm under stress
- Willingness to work non-standard, flexible schedules including weekends, evenings, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, one year of food service experience, and one year of server experience
- Valid King County Food Handler's Permit
- Valid WSLCB Servers Permit
- Basic proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Ability to listen attentively and communicate clearly and respectfully
- Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team
- Commitment to ongoing growth and self-development
- Ability to maintain attendance and punctuality standards
- Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays
Job Duties
- Welcome customers, answer questions, and take orders for beverages and food
- Accurately ring in orders on POS system and write on cups or bags
- Prepare foods such as sandwiches or baked items, brewed coffee and tea, and espresso-based beverages
- Run food and bus tables
- Clean and restock work and dining areas, empty trash, and sanitize equipment and utensils
- Learn about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation, and presentation techniques to improve food quality
- Update signage and displays to attract customers
- Take inventory and replenish items in display cases, at tables, or behind the counter
- Support training of newly hired server staff
- Staff private events and Guest Chef Night events outside of normal restaurant hours as assigned
- Provide hands-on, direct training with students on core service competencies
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and quality control
- Adhere to all alcohol service and handling safety precautions and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
