Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food service or customer service preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • Attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Food handler’s permit if required by local regulations

Job Duties

  • Ensuring the guest dining experience is enjoyable, well-timed, and pleasant
  • Providing a professional and inviting attitude when interacting with guests and employees
  • Helping guests select menu items by explaining food and bar menus, recommending cocktails, suggesting courses, explaining chef's features, and identifying wines
  • Thoroughly answering all food and beverage preparation questions
  • Making managers aware of special guest accommodations such as food allergies before reporting to the kitchen
  • Maintaining cleanliness of tables and dining area around guests
  • Completing opening, running, and closing side work related to job duties
