Job Requirements
- Pre-employment drug test including marijuana and other controlled substances
- Abstain from alcohol consumption during employment
- Complete emergency and safety training essential for ship operation
- Temporary employment not exceeding 28 weeks
- Willingness to work intensively in a team environment
- Ability to provide conscientious and safe service to guests
Job Qualifications
- Be at least eighteen years of age
- Be an American citizen or Green Card holder
- Ability to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks
- Meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended periods of standing or walking
- Maintain grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well under pressure
- Maintain a positive attitude and composure in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Provide guests an elegant and memorable dining experience
- Efficiently set up and break down breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktail hour including setting tables, arranging linen, silverware, china, and glassware
- Cater to all culinary requests in an efficient manner
- Acknowledge guests by name, escort them to their tables, present menus, suggest courses and wines, and answer questions regarding menu items
- Relay orders to the galley and serve courses and beverages with care, ensuring presentation and garnishing
- Perform additional functions such as greeting guests upon embarkation, serving afternoon teas and snacks, and catering evening entertainment
