Job Requirements

  • Pre-employment drug test including marijuana and other controlled substances
  • Abstain from alcohol consumption during employment
  • Complete emergency and safety training essential for ship operation
  • Temporary employment not exceeding 28 weeks
  • Willingness to work intensively in a team environment
  • Ability to provide conscientious and safe service to guests

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least eighteen years of age
  • Be an American citizen or Green Card holder
  • Ability to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks
  • Meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended periods of standing or walking
  • Maintain grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well under pressure
  • Maintain a positive attitude and composure in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Provide guests an elegant and memorable dining experience
  • Efficiently set up and break down breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktail hour including setting tables, arranging linen, silverware, china, and glassware
  • Cater to all culinary requests in an efficient manner
  • Acknowledge guests by name, escort them to their tables, present menus, suggest courses and wines, and answer questions regarding menu items
  • Relay orders to the galley and serve courses and beverages with care, ensuring presentation and garnishing
  • Perform additional functions such as greeting guests upon embarkation, serving afternoon teas and snacks, and catering evening entertainment
