Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of service experience
  • Ability to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of guests
  • Basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures
  • Possess basic math skills and ability to handle money and operate a micros system
  • Ability to work in a standing position for up to 5 hours
  • Ability to safely lift and maneuver trays weighing 20 to 25 pounds

Job Duties

  • Welcome and greet guests within 30 seconds
  • Make all guests feel comfortable and assure them you are there to personally assist them
  • Introduce yourself to guests
  • Inform guests of specials and menu changes
  • Make genuine recommendations to guests
  • Answer guest questions about food, beverages, and services
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately using the micros system
  • Deliver food and beverages promptly
  • Perform side work at service stations as assigned
  • Anticipate guests' needs such as napkins and drink refills
  • Build regular clientele
  • Maintain clean service areas and pre-bus tables
  • Monitor guests' dining experiences and respond promptly to requests
  • Prepare final bills and process payments
  • Check back promptly after dropping the check
  • Assist fellow servers and bus staff as needed
  • Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return
  • Fill in as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operation
