Job Requirements

  • 0-2 years related experience
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods without rest
  • Ability to lift, carry, and transfer up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to reach with hands and use them to handle objects and tools
  • Ability to bend and stoop
  • Ability to communicate verbally
  • Ability to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and adjust focus
  • Ability to freely access all areas of the restaurant including dining floor, stock area, and register area
  • Dependability and strong teamwork skills

Job Qualifications

  • Excellent guest service skills and experience
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues as they arise
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
  • Good organizational and prioritization skills
  • Computer skills including proficiency with POS systems
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts and procedures in a restaurant
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Take guest orders utilizing menu knowledge and situational selling techniques
  • Serve food and beverages promptly ensuring all items meet company standards
  • Communicate professionally with guests to determine their needs and assist with menu selections
  • Inform guests about new promotions and product information
  • Demonstrate knowledge of menu items and maintain quality standards
  • Input orders accurately into the POS system
  • Pre-bus tables and assist with side work as needed
  • Practice safe food and beverage handling
  • Handle food prep equipment safely
  • Effectively handle guest complaints and involve management when necessary
  • Communicate and interact with guests, manage crowds, and put guests at ease
  • Assist in other job categories as assigned
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
