Job Requirements

  • Three years of prior serving experience in a full-service restaurant
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Ability to speak and hear
  • Close and distance vision
  • Frequent walking with some standing at times
  • Will walk for long periods of time, possibly extended distances
  • Frequently lifts/carries up to 25 lbs
  • Occasionally lifts/carries up to 50 lbs
  • Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills
  • Able to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel and stoop repeatedly

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Three years of previous serving experience is required
  • Excellent oral communication skills are required
  • Positive interpersonal skills are required
  • Must speak English fluently and be able to write in basic English

Job Duties

  • Prepare, clean, and level tables and ensure side stations are stocked
  • Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties, and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen or bar staff are running out of any items
  • Present menus, suggest dishes, assist in drink selection, inform customers about food preparation details, and communicate specific customer needs or allergies to the cooks
  • Maintain proper dining experience, deliver items, fulfill customer needs, offer desserts and drinks, remove courses, replenish utensils, and refill glasses
  • Proper tableside wine service
  • Obtain revenues, issue receipts, accept payments, and return the change
  • Perform basic cleaning tasks and side-work as needed or directed by the supervisor
  • Fill in for absent staff as needed
  • Assist with special events as needed
  • Greet all guests at the door and at the tables warmly with an appropriate greeting
  • Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently
  • Understand and can communicate distillery products and processes
