Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Three years of previous serving experience in a full-service restaurant
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Positive interpersonal skills
- Must speak English fluently and write in basic English
- Must be 21 years or older
- Ability to speak and hear
- Close and distance vision
- Frequent walking with some standing at times
- Ability to walk for long periods, possibly extended distances
- Frequently lifts or carries up to 25 lbs
- Occasionally lifts or carries up to 50 lbs
- Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills
- Able to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel and stoop repeatedly
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Three years of previous serving experience in a full-service restaurant
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Positive interpersonal skills
- Fluent in English with basic writing ability
- Must be 21 years or older
Job Duties
- Prepare, clean, and level tables and ensure side stations are stocked
- Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties, and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen or bar staff are running out of any items
- Present menus, suggest dishes, assist in drink selection, inform customers about food preparation details, and communicate specific customer needs or allergies to the cooks
- Maintain proper dining experience, deliver items, fulfill customer needs, offer desserts and drinks, remove courses, replenish utensils, and refill glasses
- Proper tableside wine service
- Obtain revenues, issue receipts, accept payments, and return the change
- Perform basic cleaning tasks and side-work as needed or directed by the supervisor
- Fill in for absent staff as needed
- Assist with special events as needed
- Greet all guests at the door and at the tables warmly with an appropriate greeting
- Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently
- Understand and can communicate distillery products and processes
