Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in customer service or food and beverage industry preferred
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
- Ability to stand for long periods and carry trays
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in food and beverage service is an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of menu items and specialty diets is beneficial
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
- Takes food and beverage orders efficiently, following established steps of service
- Delivers food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
- Demonstrates understanding of menu items and ingredients, advises guests on food and drink combinations, accommodates dietary requests
- Communicates with back-of-the-house staff to ensure order accuracy and necessary accommodations
- Collects tickets and follows proper cash-handling procedures
- Maintains clean, safe, and neat dining environment
- Addresses guest complaints promptly and reports to supervisor
- Ensures dining room setup before and after service, keeps area clean and meets sanitation standards
- Operates equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea and soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines
- Collaborates with other departments during special events and functions
- Performs additional duties as assigned
