Job Requirements

  • Must have high level of mobility and flexibility
  • Must be able to work irregular hours under heavy stress and pressure during peak times
  • Possess a high level of coordination
  • Must be able to lift and carry serving trays weighing up to 20 pounds for distances up to 30 feet
  • Must be able to fit through an opening 30 inches wide
  • Requires frequent reaching, bending, pushing and pulling
  • Exposure to heat, steam, smoke, cold and odors
  • Requires continual standing and walking

Job Qualifications

  • Basic skills such as sanitation, safety and customer service taught through in-house training
  • Trustworthy and able to handle payment processing and operate cash register
  • Clear communication skills

Job Duties

  • Report to work well-groomed in clean and proper uniform and practice good personal hygiene
  • Greet all guests in a kind, courteous and respectable way
  • Handle cash, credit card information, gift cards and guest check payments properly
  • Take verbal drink and meal orders according to guest preference
  • Serve high quality food and verify orders are complete, prepared as ordered, properly portioned and appealing
  • Monitor food temperatures during hot and cold handling to ensure safety
  • Maintain cleanliness of work station and pantry
  • Perform side work during shift downtime such as rolling silverware, restocking condiment holders, cleaning work areas
  • Execute the service cycle and team responsibilities at all times
  • Maintain sufficient menu knowledge to execute suggestive selling
  • Write guest checks and operate POS equipment
  • Anticipate, identify and correct system breakdowns for maximum guest satisfaction
  • Communicate with managers and co-workers regarding product/service deficiencies, equipment and safety problems
