Job Requirements

Must be able to stand and walk throughout a 4 to 8-hour shift
Must be able to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 30 lbs
Must be able to raise a tray weighing up to 25 lbs to shoulder height
Must have sufficient mobility to move and operate in the work area
Must be able to hear well in a loud environment
Must meet all state county or municipal regulations for food handling
Must be able to observe and differentiate between monetary denominations
Must be able to serve all Denny s menu products
Must be able to operate point of sale system
Must be able to work flexible schedule including holidays nights and weekends

Job Qualifications

Ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing
Possess excellent guest service skills
Basic math skills including add subtract multiply and divide
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to meet Denny s uniform and grooming standards
Must be dependable and able to learn tasks and follow instructions
Ability to place value on diversity and show respect for others

Job Duties

Take food orders and keep drinks filled
Ensure guests meals and their experience are as perfect as possible
Serve guests with a warm friendly smile
Greet seat and service guests in a friendly and courteous manner
Deliver orders and suggestively sell menu items
Receive payment and operate point of sale system
Assist other service personnel as needed to provide total guest satisfaction
