Job Requirements

18+ years old
reliable transportation required
ability to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for up to four hours
ability to reach, bend, stoop, kneel and frequently lift pans and trays weighing up to 25 pounds
ability to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and coworkers
ability to wipe down tables, pick up debris, and maintain cleanliness
ability to carry objects such as high chairs weighing up to 15 pounds repeatedly
ability to follow company policies and state/federal alcohol regulations

Job Qualifications

High school degree or GED preferred
prior server experience preferred
ServeSafe Food Certification a plus
reading, writing, basic math and verbal communication skills
friendly and engaging demeanor
bilingual experience a plus
ability to build relationships
ability to be a team player
ability to follow manager instructions and guidance
ability to communicate and behave professionally at all times

Job Duties

Delivers food and drinks to guests using Applebee's team delivery
interacts verbally with all bar guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere
greet guests, answer questions, makes suggestions regarding food, drinks, and menu items
completes assigned opening and closing side work
presents guest checks to dining room patrons and makes correct change and/or completes credit transactions
relays food orders to kitchen via point-of-sale computerized register system in a timely and accurate manner
serves alcohol according to all state and federal laws and regulations, as well as company and brand policies
participates in the clearing and resetting of dining room tables using Applebee's team delivery
observes guests, responds to requests, and anticipates guests' needs
maintains a clean and organized work area
explains and demonstrates usage of Tabletop Electronic Devices to guests
drives sales with suggestive selling
writes and repeats guests' orders to ensure accuracy
accommodates any special needs of guests such as booster chairs and high chairs
may occasionally be scheduled to serve guests in a Host/Hostess or Carside To-Go Server capacity
performs general utility functions as requested by management
