Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- One year job related experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation requirements
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
- Good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Completion of training or certification in CPR, First Aid, ServSafe Food Handler Card, or Local Health Department Food Handler Card may be required as applicable

Job Duties
- Cultivate a warm and hospitable environment by making personal connections with residents and guests and treating all with professionalism and respect
- Take and deliver food orders in a timely manner
- Bus and reset tables per company standards
- Clean and maintain the dining room and bistro to the highest standards per company guidelines
- Complete required side work as assigned
- Attend pre-meal meeting to gain knowledge of the meal
- Know menu items and provide general descriptions
- Assist residents with menu selections and respond professionally to questions about menu items
- Use Sunrise systems per guidelines for order taking and meal delivery to ensure accuracy
- Practice safe food handling procedures at all times in accordance with all federal, state/provincial, and local laws, regulations, and guidance and Sunrise policies and procedures
- Comply with national/provincial regulations pertaining to occupational health and safety requirements and risk management programs and policies
- Perform other dining services duties including dishwashing, light janitorial duties, preparing and serving light meals, assisting with food preparation and plating
- Participate and commit to working toward team goals
- Demonstrate the Team Member Credo in daily interactions
- Commit to serving residents and guests through Principles of Service
- Contribute to overall engagement programs for residents and team members
- Attend regular meetings as directed by Dining Services Coordinator
- Maintain compliance in assigned required training and training required by state/province or other regulating authorities
- Perform other duties as assigned
