Job Requirements

  • Exposure to restaurant operations or ability to learn
  • age over 18 or proper work permit and authorization
  • background clearances as required by law
  • complete health screening and provide negative TB test within last 6 months or 7 days of employment
  • basic counting skills
  • good communication skills in English
  • ability to operate serving equipment
  • mindfulness regarding resource use and minimal waste
  • tactfulness and professionalism in interactions
  • completion of dining room training course with CCG
  • meet and maintain state regulatory requirements
  • ability to stand for long periods, bend, kneel, stoop, push, pull, and perform repetitive motions
  • ability to lift and carry 40 plus pounds
  • mobility throughout workday and community

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior experience in food service or restaurant operations beneficial
  • good communication skills including speaking, writing, understanding, and reading English
  • ability to operate standard serving equipment
  • completion of dining room training course with CCG
  • ability to deal tactfully and professionally with residents, family members, visitors, and team members
  • knowledge of basic counting skills for tracking meals and residents
  • adherence to company grooming and dress standards
  • certification and compliance with all state-specific regulatory requirements

Job Duties

  • Take written food orders and serve meals in a professional and courteous manner
  • assist residents with meal and menu selections as requested
  • use proper etiquette and manners while waiting tables
  • review residents’ dietary needs as outlined by supervisor
  • track resident attendance at meals and report accordingly
  • greet and seat residents properly, including integration of new residents
  • ensure a clean and sanitary dining area and comply with food handling policies
  • display tact and friendliness with residents, team members, and guests
  • aid in community marketing efforts through positive interactions and adherence to grooming standards
  • serve, clean, and reset tables and return dishes to kitchen
  • perform other duties as assigned or directed by supervisors
  • clean and set up dining and food service areas including stocking condiments
  • cooperate and assist with kitchen and dining services to ensure positive dining experience
  • report safety or equipment issues to supervisor
  • assist in breaking down deliveries, stocking, and dishwashing as needed
  • deliver meals to resident rooms and collect trays after meal service
