Job Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Three to six months related experience and or training
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fraction, and decimals
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
  • Basic bar and beverage knowledge including beer, liquor, wines
  • Basic dining room service etiquette and food knowledge
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Friendly, courteous, customer focused demeanor
  • Outgoing, warm, caring and positive attitude

Job Duties

  • Assist management with meeting, greeting and seating of guests when needed
  • Take beverage orders, enter beverage order into the POS system and serve the members and their guests
  • Explain specials and up sell additional items based on pre-shift suggestions discussed
  • Take food order, enter into the POS system and preset the necessary silverware
  • Ensure smooth communication and coordination with Front and Back team members (Runners, bussers, cooks)
  • Serve food as soon as the entire table's dishes are ready to be served - ladies first and hot foods before cold foods
  • Clear table as necessary and attend to guests throughout the meal (Water and coffee refills, replacement of dropped napkins, refills of wine or champagne, freshly grounded pepper or condiments)
  • Close out the check on the POS system
  • Be courteous, maintain a professional attitude and act professionally throughout service
  • Thank members for coming and welcome them back
