Job Requirements

must be at least 18 years old
ability to work days, nights and weekends as required
ability to work in noisy, fast paced environment with distracting conditions
ability to read and write handwritten notes
ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
ability to move about facility and stand for long periods of time
ability to walk or stand 100 percent of shift
ability to reach, bend and stoop frequently

Job Qualifications

high school diploma or equivalent preferred
previous customer service experience helpful
ability to operate Micros POS system preferred
strong communication and interpersonal skills
ability to work in a fast-paced environment
good organizational skills
ability to handle cash and credit transactions accurately
ability to stand and move for long periods
knowledge of sanitation procedures
team player with a positive attitude
ability to follow instructions and company policies
basic math skills
must be at least 18 years old

Job Duties

deliver an unparalleled guest experience through the best combination of food, drinks and games in an ideal environment for celebrating all out fun
keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance
create a warm, fun atmosphere for guests and team members
adhere to company sanitation procedures
maintain responsibility for personal bank and ensure all financial transactions are accurate
follow alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication and dealing with intoxicated guests
assess guest demeanor and identify when behavior should be called to the attention of a manager
greet newly seated guests in a friendly and timely manner
accurately take guests' food and drink orders
maintain a thorough understanding of all menu items and answer questions regarding food and drink items and their preparation
enter orders into Micros quickly and in proper sequence
ensure food is properly garnished and deliver trays to designated table servers
work quickly and efficiently, adhering to 'full hands in, full hands out' philosophy
assist in party set up and breakdown
bus and reset tables as needed
assist other team members as needed or as business dictates
be responsible for all sales on personal Micros keys and complete station side work at the beginning and end of shifts
participate in all incentives and contests, driving sales and promoting the brand
follow portion guidelines to ensure cost control while maximizing guest experience
ensure ongoing guest satisfaction by checking back after food delivery, maintaining drink levels, removing clutter, prebussing, and responding to guest needs
keep station clean, set up and take down station tables appropriately
maintain a favorable working relationship with other team members to foster a cooperative and harmonious climate
communicate effectively to generate enthusiasm about the Dave & Buster's experience
operate Micros, make changes, accurately conduct credit card transactions, and account for all monies at the end of shifts
read and communicate in English
listen to guests' orders and needs and communicate verbally and via Micros system
maintain proper dress code, look neat, clean and professional at all times
be at least 18 years of age
