Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of service experience
- ability to communicate and understand predominant language(s) of guests
- basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions
- possess basic math skills
- ability to handle money and operate Micros system
- ability to stand for long periods up to 5 hours
- ability to safely lift and maneuver trays weighing 20 to 25 pounds

Job Duties
- Welcome and greet guests within 30 seconds
- make all guests feel comfortable and let them know you are there to personally take care of them
- introduce yourself
- inform guests of specials and menu changes
- make recommendations guests will enjoy
- answer questions about food, beverages, and restaurant services
- take food and beverage orders, enter them into the Micros system, double-check for accuracy
- deliver food and beverages timely
- perform side work at the start and end of shifts
- anticipate guests' needs such as napkins and drink refills
- build relationships with regulars
- maintain clean service areas and prebus tables
- monitor guest dining experience and respond promptly to requests
- prepare final bills and process payments
- check back frequently after presenting the check
- assist fellow servers and bussers as needed
- thank guests and invite them to return
- fill in as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operation
