The role of Food Server is integral to our operation, reporting directly to the Food & Beverage Director. This part-time position offers an expected schedule of 20 to 30 hours per week, specifically requiring availability on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking flexible work hours in a vibrant atmosphere. The Food Server plays a key role in ensuring that members receive attentive, courteous, and efficient service throughout their dining experience. Responsibilities include taking accurate food and beverage orders, delivering these items promptly, anticipating members' needs, and resolving any issues professionally and effectively.
Food Servers must maintain an in-depth knowledge of the menu, buffet items, and wine list to skillfully answer questions and provide informed recommendations. They collaborate closely with the kitchen and service team to ensure a seamless flow of service and uphold the highest standards of hospitality. This role demands a courteous and positive demeanor, an ability to work under pressure, and a strong commitment to teamwork. Additionally, the Food Server must consistently adhere to local and state laws and club policies regarding the service of alcoholic beverages, ensuring member safety and compliance.
This position requires physical stamina, as it involves standing for extended periods, walking, climbing stairs, and performing repetitive motions in a sometimes hot, humid, and noisy environment. Candidates should have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and be comfortable managing multiple tasks simultaneously. - Of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages

Job Qualifications
- Grade 12 education
- two years of comparable wait service experience preferred
- ability to read, write and execute basic math skills
- knowledge of menu, buffet, and wine list
- ability to time service of courses

- ability to perform required role in emergency situations
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties
- Sets up side station and performs assigned side prep work
- provides immediate attention to all members and guests upon seating
- ensures that children are in appropriate seats and safe
- distributes food and wine menus and answers questions
- fills glasses with ice water and suggests menu items
- ensures correct account numbers and names for billing
- efficiently serves food and drinks in a friendly and courteous manner
- places orders with kitchen and informs cooks about special instructions
- assembles food on tray and procures items from stations
- serves meals by courses
- checks back to ensure satisfaction and replenishes water and butter
- removes soiled dishes and clears tables after courses
- presents dessert menus and serves dessert, coffee, and after-dinner drinks
- verifies accuracy of bills including taxes and tips
- presents the bill and handles charges per procedures
- keeps dining and bus station clean
- clears, cleans and resets vacated tables
- advises supervisor of complaints promptly
- performs clean-up and closing duties
- attends pre-meal meetings
- thanks members and guests and invites return
- follows laws and policies for alcoholic beverage service
- performs other duties assigned by Food & Beverage Director
