Job Requirements

Ability to relocate to Portland, OR before starting work
Availability to work 20 to 40 hours per week
Capability to perform in a fast-paced environment
Previous experience in food service or related hospitality roles preferred
Ability to stand for extended periods
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Basic math skills for handling transactions

Job Qualifications

Strong upselling skills with the ability to enhance guest experiences through thoughtful recommendations
Knowledge of culinary terms and food preparation techniques is preferred
Experience with cash registers and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing
Familiarity with the food industry, particularly in fine dining or nightclub settings, is advantageous
Understanding of food safety practices to maintain high standards of hygiene
Excellent sales skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
Proficiency in using POS systems for order management and payment processing

Job Duties

Greet and seat guests promptly, presenting menus and providing information about specials
Take accurate food and drink orders using the POS system
Upsell menu items by recommending daily specials and pairing suggestions
Serve food and beverages in a timely manner while ensuring presentation meets our standards
Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience, addressing any concerns or requests promptly
Process payments accurately using cash registers and POS systems
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including tables, utensils, and condiments
