Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year of experience as a server in a full-service restaurant
- Valid food handler or liquor permits as required by law
- Ability to read, speak, and understand English
- Capability to operate point-of-sale systems
- Basic math skills for financial transactions
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks as needed
Job Qualifications
- At least one year experience as a server in a full-service restaurant
- Excellent guest service skills
- Verbal and written English language proficiency
- Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions
- Food handler or liquor permits as required by law
- Brand certification as required
- Ability to remember, recite, and promote menu items
- Proficiency with point of sale systems
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and alcoholic service
- Effective communication skills with guests
Job Duties
- Greet all guests and escort them to their table
- Follow the guest program's steps of service including presenting food and drink menus, making recommendations, and answering questions regarding beverages
- Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them in the point-of-sale system
- Prepare dishes for service including ladling soup, cutting portions of pie and desserts, and brewing coffee
- Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely manner
- Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment
- Maintain clean service areas
- Monitor and observe guests dining experience and respond promptly to requests
- Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, and process credit card charges or make change
- Clear dishes from tables and ensure payments are completed
- Sweep and mop floors, restock items, and wipe down workstations
- Assist fellow servers and utility associates as needed
- Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return
- Perform other duties as assigned
