Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of experience as a server in a full-service restaurant
  • Valid food handler or liquor permits as required by law
  • Ability to read, speak, and understand English
  • Capability to operate point-of-sale systems
  • Basic math skills for financial transactions
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks as needed

Job Qualifications

  • At least one year experience as a server in a full-service restaurant
  • Excellent guest service skills
  • Verbal and written English language proficiency
  • Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions
  • Food handler or liquor permits as required by law
  • Brand certification as required
  • Ability to remember, recite, and promote menu items
  • Proficiency with point of sale systems
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and alcoholic service
  • Effective communication skills with guests

Job Duties

  • Greet all guests and escort them to their table
  • Follow the guest program's steps of service including presenting food and drink menus, making recommendations, and answering questions regarding beverages
  • Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them in the point-of-sale system
  • Prepare dishes for service including ladling soup, cutting portions of pie and desserts, and brewing coffee
  • Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely manner
  • Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment
  • Maintain clean service areas
  • Monitor and observe guests dining experience and respond promptly to requests
  • Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, and process credit card charges or make change
  • Clear dishes from tables and ensure payments are completed
  • Sweep and mop floors, restock items, and wipe down workstations
  • Assist fellow servers and utility associates as needed
  • Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return
  • Perform other duties as assigned
