Job Requirements
- Must be available to work shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM or 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM
- Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push, pull and work continuously without sitting for extended periods
- Ability to lift or carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
- Sufficient manual dexterity to use kitchen utensils such as knives, spoons spatulas, tongs and slicers
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Must meet all health and safety regulations
- Must demonstrate professionalism and courteousness in all interactions
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- One year of serving experience preferred
- Ability to read, write and understand the English language
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of dining room procedures and etiquette recommended
Job Duties
- Enhance the overall dining experience for residents, family members and guests
- Assist in delivery of culinary activities for all dining venues including Bistro, Casual, Formal, Luminations memory care and Club Room
- Support special events and private functions with professional service
- Deliver service in The Sterling Touch professional, friendly, courteous, helpful and timely manner
- Work under guidance of Executive Chef and Dining Room Supervisor
- Follow community standards, processes, procedures, practices and philosophies
- Ensure high level of satisfaction for residents and their guests
