Job Requirements
- Experience working in broadcast radio or television as a line, segment, or show producer
- Proficiency with computers, email, word processing, social media, and the Internet
- Basic knowledge of live broadcast sound equipment
- Basic knowledge of audio editing software
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Natural curiosity
- Familiarity with current events and national politics
- Ability to contribute on-air as needed
Job Qualifications
- Experience working in broadcast radio or television as a line, segment, or show producer
- Background in journalism or reporting a plus
- Experience in a live production control room including during breaking news
- Proficiency with computers, email, word processing, social media, and the Internet
- Basic knowledge of live broadcast sound equipment
- Basic knowledge of audio editing software
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Natural curiosity
- Ability to generate interest for topics and enthusiasm from callers
- Familiarity with current events, national politics and news topics
- Knowledge of Wisconsin's political landscape preferred
- Ability to contribute on-air as needed
Job Duties
- Work closely with show hosts as a trusted colleague and partner
- Select and coordinate guests and contributors to create entertaining opinion programming
- Develop innovative new ways to tell stories that relate to an audience
- Conceive, develop, and transform concepts into on-air and digital content
- Brainstorm and oversee development of new segments and benchmarks from idea to reality
- Help write intros, scripts, promos, and teases
- Direct live broadcasts, keep segments on time, make on-the-fly decisions during shows, handle issues and coordinate with technical producers
