Job Description

P.F. Chang's is a renowned restaurant chain known for its fresh, scratch-made Asian cuisine paired with a vibrant dining experience. With a strong presence across multiple locations, P.F. Chang's prides itself on delivering exceptional food and service, combining traditional flavors with creative innovation. The company values a passionate team culture centered around its purpose: To Celebrate Life. Family. Food. This establishes a strong foundation for employees who are committed to culinary excellence and guest satisfaction.

This job opportunity is for a full-time Senior Sous Chef, Senior Kitchen Manager, or Chef De Cuisine at P.F. Chang's, a pivotal role within the restaurant's culinary leadership team. The position is non-exempt and offers a competitive pay range based on experience, from $72,501 to $92,492 annually or $25.35 to $32.34 per hour, assuming a 50-hour work week. Employees in this role benefit from comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plans, and paid time off. Additional perks include performance bonuses, paid management training programs, referral bonuses, exclusive employee discounts, holiday closures for Thanksgiving and Christmas, and community support through the Lucky Cat Fund.

As a Senior Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager, you will lead a high-volume, scratch kitchen culinary team, overseeing food preparation and execution of menu items while maintaining high operating standards. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, you will ensure a memorable culinary experience for guests by driving food quality and operational consistency. Your leadership will include developing and mentoring culinary staff, fostering a positive and fun work environment, and engaging directly in kitchen activities to maintain workflow and standards.

Daily responsibilities also include assisting with scheduling, interviewing, and hiring, providing feedback and recognition to team members, and conducting regular line checks to maintain product quality. You will oversee adherence to safety and sanitation guidelines, contribute to sales growth, and support inventory and cost control management. This role demands a proactive approach to both the culinary craft and operational efficiency, making it essential for candidates to possess strong leadership and hands-on cooking skills.

Ideal candidates will have over three years of culinary or restaurant leadership experience, preferably in fast-paced, high-volume environments, and familiarity with managing inventory and financial controls. The role requires a valid driver's license for occasional duties such as shift coverage, catering deliveries, supply runs, and training or meetings at different locations. Physical demands include standing or walking for extended periods, lifting and transporting heavy objects up to 50 pounds, and operating kitchen equipment such as woks, mixers, slicers, and choppers.

Experience in casual or upscale dining and working within a restaurant chain or franchise environment is preferred, as familiarity with established processes and corporate structures will help you succeed. P.F. Chang's culture emphasizes growth from within, so the paid management training program is an excellent opportunity for professional development and career advancement. Joining their culinary leadership team means becoming part of a supportive community passionate about food, family, and life celebration.
