Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED
- 4 years of experience in culinary or related professional area
- or 2-year degree from an accredited university in culinary arts, hotel and restaurant management, or related major
- 2 years of experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
- strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- ability to work in fast-paced environment
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation protocols
- ability to manage budgets and schedules

Job Duties
- lead culinary team by utilizing interpersonal and communication skills
- supervise and manage employees and daily kitchen operations
- encourage mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
- serve as a role model and ensure productivity of employees
- solicit employee feedback and address concerns
- lead shifts by preparing food items and overseeing kitchen activities
- ensure culinary standards and food safety compliance
- develop new culinary applications and maintain quality control
- ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation standards
- assist executive chef with kitchen operations
- manage purchasing, receiving, and food storage standards
- prepare and present food for guests and special functions
- provide exceptional customer service and improve guest satisfaction
- manage day-to-day operations ensuring quality and standards
- coach employees and observe service behaviors
- emphasize guest satisfaction and continuous improvement
- achieve and exceed performance, budget, and team goals
- train employees in safety procedures
- conduct human resource activities including coaching, mentoring, payroll administration, and staffing management
