Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5-7+ years of culinary leadership experience in high-volume catering, banquets, or sports/entertainment venues
- Valid Food Handlers Card
- Active Managerial Credentials
- Ability to work a minimum of 50-55 hours per week including nights and weekends
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including holidays
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand and move quickly for extended periods
- Ability to work in hot, noisy, or confined kitchen environments
Job Qualifications
- 5-7+ years of culinary leadership experience in high-volume catering, banquets, or sports/entertainment venues
- Strong understanding of nutrition, Whole 30, Paleo, Vegan, and Vegetarian cooking methodologies
- Proven ability to manage budgets, labor, and food costs effectively
- High proficiency in menu development, large-scale food production, and staff training
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
- Ability to remain focused, decisive, and calm in fast-paced, high-pressure situations
- Valid Food Handlers Card and Active Managerial Credentials required
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish is preferred
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Supervise daily kitchen operations, including production for sports facilities and catering events
- Lead, coach, and motivate BOH teams to achieve high performance and consistent execution
- Ensure adherence to recipes, preparation methods, portion controls, and presentation standards
- Monitor and track food and labor costs, ensuring adherence to budget goals in MarginEdge
- Maintain the highest standards of sanitation and food safety in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Collaborate with event managers and culinary leadership to ensure seamless catering service
- Adapt production and staffing plans to accommodate event scale, dietary needs, and last-minute adjustments
- Represent the company professionally with clients, guests, and vendors during events
- Delegate responsibilities effectively and provide training and feedback to culinary staff
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing development of kitchen employees
- Address staff concerns and disciplinary matters in line with company policies
- Foster a positive, professional, and collaborative kitchen culture
- Oversee ordering, receiving, and inventory management for sports facility and catering operations
- Maintain par levels and ensure cost efficiency through proper sourcing and vendor management
- Support financial goals by minimizing waste and monitoring expenses
- Step into line or prep roles as necessary to support operations
- Work double shifts or extended hours when required by event schedules
- Attend staff and leadership meetings as scheduled
