Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 7+ years of increasing responsibilities in safety and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations, or relevant experience applicable to the role
- 7+ years of increasing responsibilities in people and performance management
- CPR/First Aid Certification, or willingness to obtain within 3 weeks of start
- Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment
- Willingness to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends, as required to support direct reports and site needs

- Bachelor's degree
- 7+ years of increasing responsibilities in safety and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations, or relevant experience
- 7+ years of increasing responsibilities in people and performance management
- CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain within 3 weeks of start
- Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in safety programs with relevant safety, environmental, and ergonomic knowledge
Job Duties
- Act as SME of local/regional regulations and company WHS policy
- Provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance to all applicable Amazon Safety Policies
- Measure site performance against published requirements in safety policies and identify plans to fix deficiencies
- Ensure safety record keeping and data integrity and provide accurate reporting and metrics
- Deliver on-time and quality projects to Operations
- Deep dive safety metrics and review incident trends to allocate safety resources effectively
- Audit record keeping and Global Safety Database entries for compliance
- Audit workplace organization and Associate behaviors to ensure training and auditing accuracy
- Manage and mentor the Safety Managers and Safety Associates
- Engage Injury Prevention Specialists and Site Leadership to drive incident reduction
- Perform targeted Kaizen events based on identified ergonomic risks
- Ensure site leadership and associates are trained and knowledgeable of policy responsibilities
- Audit quality, delivery, and effectiveness of all safety training
- Review and revise safety tools for continual improvement
- Partner with corporate and other regional safety personnel to leverage global best practices
