- 7+ years of experience in safety and/or environmental programs
- CPR/First Aid Certification

- 7+ years of increasing responsibilities in safety and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations
- 7+ years of increasing responsibilities in people and performance management
- CPR/First Aid certification
- experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment

- strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- ability to manage safety operations comprising salaried and hourly staff
- experience in developing others into higher levels of responsibility
Job Duties
- act as SME of local/regional regulations and company WHS policy
- provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance to all applicable Amazon Safety Policies
- measure site performance against published requirements in safety policies
- identify and implement plans to fix identified safety deficiencies
- ensure safety record keeping and data integrity
- provide operations with accurate reporting and metrics to support business safety initiatives
- deliver on-time and quality projects to operations
- analyze safety metrics and review incident trends
- propose action plans to senior leadership
- audit record keeping practices and global safety database entries
- audit workplace organization and associate behaviors
- manage and mentor safety managers and safety associates
- engage Injury Prevention Specialists and site leadership to reduce incidents
- perform targeted Kaizen events with operations teams
- ensure site leadership and associates are trained and knowledgeable of safety responsibilities
- audit quality, delivery, and effectiveness of safety training
- review and revise deployed safety tools for continuous improvement
- partner with corporate and regional field safety personnel to leverage best practices
