Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience in hospitality sales

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience in sales positions in the hospitality industry
  • experience holding a sales role at a property for at least two years
  • experience with Hilton systems including R&I, PEP, and OnQ
  • experience working with independent hotels
  • proven track record of production in group sales
  • demonstrated ability to achieve and maintain superior sales and revenue results
  • thorough experience with professional selling skills including opening, probing, supporting and closing
  • ability to train and monitor sales processes including sending referrals, setting traces, and profiling accounts
  • excellent communication and organizational skills
  • strong financial background and demonstrated management skills
  • passion for hospitality with ability to connect with colleagues and guests
  • strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with operations team regarding guest expectations
  • proficiency with computers, Hospitality CRM (Salesforce), databases, property management systems, and industry business intelligence tools (Agency360)
  • willingness to contribute actively for team success and consistently deliver results

Job Duties

  • Develop and implement successful group sales solicitation activities to secure new and repeat business from target market segments
  • lead by example in exceeding client acquisition, revenue, and market share goals
  • cultivate and activate the key sales strategies, tactics and action plans required to achieve hotel financial targets
  • create tailored proposals and contracts benefiting both hotel and client
  • collaborate with Director of Revenue Management and General Managers to create budgets, forecasts, and business plans
  • cross-sell within Modus DC properties
  • support operations team in the execution of group-related events
  • communicate initiatives clearly to all hotel operation stakeholders to reinforce collaboration
  • seek out critical market trend information to inform decisions
  • engage with local hotel community and tourism partners to stay current on market conditions
  • champion employee engagement and promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment
  • collaborate with shared service partners to maximize performance and support companywide initiatives
  • embody and promote company values, vision and culture
