Job Description
Nike is a globally renowned leader in the design, development, and marketing of athletic footwear, apparel, equipment, and accessories. As a trailblazer in innovative sportswear and technology integration, Nike continues to influence global sporting culture and performance. The company boasts a dynamic and inclusive work environment that fosters creativity, collaboration, and high performance, with a strong commitment to sustainability and community impact. Nike’s North America Partners Go-To-Market (NA PGTM) team plays an integral role in building strong relationships with strategic wholesale partners while driving the brand’s presence and success in the market through innovative sales and event strategies.
This position is for a Senior Event Planner within Nike’s NA PGTM team based in Beaverton, Oregon. This is a full-time, onsite role that involves working closely with senior Nike leaders and executive stakeholders from some of Nike’s most strategic wholesale partners. The Senior Event Planner is a high-impact, trusted individual contributor who represents the Nike brand externally and internally by delivering top-notch event experiences. The role requires exceptional operational rigor and a service-oriented mindset to lead complex, high-visibility events. It demands a blend of strategic thinking, meticulous attention to detail, adaptability, and confident decision-making in a fast-paced, matrixed corporate environment.
The Senior Event Planner manages the end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of both partner-facing and internal events supporting Nike’s North America Go-To-Market strategy. Key responsibilities include managing intricate logistics such as travel, accommodation, catering, and transportation; overseeing budgets and expenses; and providing hands-on onsite support to ensure flawless delivery. This role demands a strategic partner who can collaborate cross-functionally with Account Directors, Sport Sales Directors, and other internal teams to shape event goals and agendas. Proficiency in event planning tools like CVENT, Airtable, Excel, Keynote, PowerPoint, and Box is essential to optimize processes and enhance efficiency.
The ideal candidate brings over five years of professional experience in meeting and event planning, including expertise in hotel operations, catering, and travel logistics. They are seasoned in managing multiple events with competing priorities while maintaining a focus on stakeholder satisfaction and event impact. The role invites individuals with strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills who are comfortable supporting executive-level audiences and thrive in collaborative, fast-moving environments. Given the external-facing nature of this position, the planner will actively represent the Nike brand, ensuring that all experiences align with the company’s high standards and strategic objectives.
Nike also emphasizes inclusivity and accessibility, offering accommodations throughout the interview process to support candidates with disabilities. The company’s mission is not only to deliver exceptional events but to foster an environment where every team member can thrive and contribute meaningfully. This opportunity is an exciting step for professionals seeking to elevate their career in event planning within a globally recognized, innovative sportswear brand that values partnership, excellence, and continuous improvement.
