Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- Eight plus years experience as a receptionist in a busy switchboard environment preferred
- Typing speed of 40 wpm
- Flexible to work hours between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Customer service and relations skills
- Proficient PC skills
- Ability to handle high volume telephone calls
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Experience working in a Headquarters environment preferred
- Over 8 years experience as a receptionist in a busy switchboard environment preferred
- Typing speed of 40 wpm
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated customer service and relations skills
- Proficient PC skills
- Basic clerical and secretarial skills
- Ability to handle high volume telephone calls
- Good organizational and judgment skills
Job Duties
- Greet visitors, ask them to sign in, issue visitor badges, process and assign wireless network accounts, contact employees visitors are to see
- Activate access for temporary badges for employees who forgot or lost their badges or if malfunctioning
- Answer and properly route global calls, some confidential in nature, using company-wide switchboard or provide appropriate information to callers
- Prioritize calls and escalate customer service issues to proper chain of command
- Ensure company phone and speed dial lists are current
- Train backup personnel and provide guidance on policies and procedures
- Notify employees upon receipt of inbound deliveries or direct deliveries to Mail Room
- Provide light administrative support such as issuing facility access cards, scheduling meeting rooms, assisting with miscellaneous administrative tasks
- Proactively seek additional work during downtime
- Follow up on loaned access cards and contact Security if cards are not returned
- Maintain a neat and orderly reception area
- Perform other duties as assigned by Site Manager
