Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of relevant property adjusting or claims experience
- Working knowledge of residential construction
- Experience using estimating software like Xactimate
- Demonstrated negotiation and investigation capabilities
- Knowledge of property claims contracts and applicable laws
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple business tools
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% locally and nationally
- Must obtain an insurance adjuster license within 90 days
- Must reside within 45 minutes of Denver, CO, Colorado Springs, CO, or Kansas City, MO airport
- Valid driver’s license and compliance with USAA driving requirements
- Physical ability to inspect confined spaces, lift 35 pounds, climb ladders
- US military service or spouse/domestic partner status preferred
- No visa sponsorship provided
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years relevant property or claims adjusting experience
- Knowledge of residential construction
- Proficient use of estimating tools like Xactimate
- Strong negotiation, investigation, communication, and conflict resolution skills
- Understanding of property claims contracts and state laws
- Ability to prioritize and multitask across multiple applications
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the year
- Insurance adjuster license acquisition within 90 days
- Prior experience with virtual claims technologies
- Advanced knowledge of Xactcontents
- Experience with large loss contents-only claims
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Relevant industry designations (CPCU, AIC, SCLA)
- Active adjuster license holder preferred
- US military or military spouse/domestic partner experience preferred
Job Duties
- Manage assigned claims caseload with moderate complexity damages
- Partner with vendors and internal business partners to resolve claims
- Investigate claim damages through research and analysis
- Identify coverage concerns and create SIU referrals when appropriate
- Determine and negotiate claims settlements
- Maintain accurate and thorough claim file documentation
- Utilize estimating technology platforms and virtual inspection tools
- Apply knowledge of inspection, damage mitigation, and restoration techniques
- Serve as an informal resource for team members
- Address jurisdictional challenges related to claims
- Support workload surges and catastrophe response operations
- May be assigned CAT deployment travel
- Manage various types of claims including higher complexity
- Ensure compliance with risk and business activity policies
