With years of experience in recruitment and workforce solutions, LHH is known for fostering strong relationships between employers and candidates, facilitating successful and fulfilling employment matches.
They are currently recruiting on behalf of one of their longstanding clients, a mission-driven non-profit organization based in the Greater Milwaukee area. This organization is recognized for its impactful work and strong organizational culture, focusing on serving the community through numerous initiatives and programs. As a growing entity, the organization values dedication, innovation, and creating lasting positive change.
The available position is for a full-time Senior Events and Meetings Manager, which operates on a hybrid work schedule requiring two days in the office weekly. The compensation package ranges from $80,000 to $92,000 annually, supplemented with bonus opportunities and a robust benefits plan. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance options, a 401k plan, paid time off, and additional perks reflecting the organization’s commitment to employee well-being.
This role calls for an experienced professional certified as a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) with at least seven years of experience in planning large-scale events. The Senior Events and Meetings Manager will lead the organization’s event planning and execution efforts, managing complex logistics such as convention center operations, multi-hotel room block negotiations, vendor relationship management, and conference planning. The ideal candidate will have a background working with non-profit entities, associations, or educational institutions, understanding the specific needs and constraints that come with these sectors.
Responsibilities involve not only logistical coordination but also strategic planning and problem-solving to ensure every event aligns with the organization’s mission and promotes its brand effectively. The role requires technical proficiency with audiovisual setups, internet and electrical requirements, catering, security, transportation, and other key facets of meeting logistics. Exceptional project management skills are necessary, including experience with project management tools and leading cross-functional teams. The Senior Events and Meetings Manager will supervise on-site staff, coordinate with vendor teams, and mentor internal support personnel.
This position demands a high level of attention to detail, the ability to perform under pressure, and sound decision-making in fast-paced or crisis situations. The role includes some travel obligations, up to 15% annually. Candidates passionate about creating memorable, well-executed events that contribute to a meaningful mission are encouraged to apply. This opportunity is inclusive, welcoming military-connected talent and qualified applicants regardless of arrest or conviction records in accordance with applicable laws.
