Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • minimum 3 years experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related professional area
  • OR 2-year degree from accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
  • minimum 2 years relevant experience
  • proficiency in event planning software and Microsoft Office
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • strong problem-solving abilities
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work under pressure
  • commitment to providing exceptional guest service

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 3 years experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related field
  • OR 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with 2 years relevant experience

Job Duties

  • Plan and execute meetings and special events
  • assist in implementing departmental strategies
  • manage seamless turnover from sales to operations and back
  • research and analyze competitors' products, pricing, and services
  • communicate event impact to property operations
  • execute event management strategy aligned with company goals
  • conduct daily banquet floor walkthroughs to ensure client satisfaction
  • develop vendor relationships and manage service agreements
  • create upselling opportunities during event planning
  • control department expenses to meet budget goals
  • foster an atmosphere exceeding guest expectations
  • set a positive example for guest relations
  • interact with guests for feedback and handle complaints
  • empower employees to deliver excellent customer service
  • ensure employee understanding of expectations
  • focus on continuous service improvement
  • communicate and enforce emergency and safety procedures
  • observe and provide feedback on employee service behaviors
  • monitor employee progress and lead discussions
  • develop and implement corrective action plans
  • participate in relevant meetings
  • review staffing levels for operational needs
