Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3 or more years progressive experience in large-scale event management
- strong communication skills
- general understanding of contracts
- proficiency in Google Suite
- experience in report development
- budgeting and forecasting skills
- ability to adapt in fast-paced environments
- excellent decision-making and prioritization skills
- strong written and verbal communication
- proactive initiative
- ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
- physical ability to walk or stand for multiple hours and lift up to 20 lbs
- ability to travel approximately 10 percent of the time by vehicle and air
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred with focus on hospitality, business, or communications
- minimum 3 years experience in large-scale event management
- strong communication skills
- proficiency with Google Suite
- experience in budgeting and forecasting
- ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- excellent organizational and time management skills
- ability to work independently and collaboratively
- experience in contract review and negotiation
Job Duties
- Research and design corporate events ranging from small retreats to large conferences
- manage vendor lifecycle including hiring and contract negotiation
- develop and oversee multi-project budgets and financial reconciliation
- coordinate event logistics including itineraries, registration, meal planning and attendee collateral
- prepare and manage detailed budgets and projections
- create professional communications and promotional materials
- provide travel assistance for executive management and visitors
- collaborate with department manager and travel company on event-related technology and presentations
