Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3 or more years progressive experience in large-scale event management
  • strong communication skills
  • general understanding of contracts
  • proficiency in Google Suite
  • experience in report development
  • budgeting and forecasting skills
  • ability to adapt in fast-paced environments
  • excellent decision-making and prioritization skills
  • strong written and verbal communication
  • proactive initiative
  • ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
  • physical ability to walk or stand for multiple hours and lift up to 20 lbs
  • ability to travel approximately 10 percent of the time by vehicle and air

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred with focus on hospitality, business, or communications
  • minimum 3 years experience in large-scale event management
  • strong communication skills
  • proficiency with Google Suite
  • experience in budgeting and forecasting
  • ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • excellent organizational and time management skills
  • ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • experience in contract review and negotiation

Job Duties

  • Research and design corporate events ranging from small retreats to large conferences
  • manage vendor lifecycle including hiring and contract negotiation
  • develop and oversee multi-project budgets and financial reconciliation
  • coordinate event logistics including itineraries, registration, meal planning and attendee collateral
  • prepare and manage detailed budgets and projections
  • create professional communications and promotional materials
  • provide travel assistance for executive management and visitors
  • collaborate with department manager and travel company on event-related technology and presentations
