LA28 is the organizing committee responsible for planning and delivering the 2028 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles, California. Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of experience in workforce operations or event/live event management
- Experience leading multi-site or venue-based teams
- Strong organizational and planning skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to translate strategic direction into operational delivery
- Collaborative mindset with ability to work across teams and multiple stakeholders
- Calm under pressure and flexible in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient with Excel, project planning tools, and workforce management platforms
- Commitment to LA28's values of optimism, integrity, excellence, inclusion, co-creation, and boldness
- Ability to work shift work including evenings, weekends, and on-the-ground operations
- Willingness to travel frequently for site visits before and during Games Time
- This role will commence in-office at LA28 DTLA location
Job Qualifications
- 7+ years experience in workforce operations, event operations, or live event management
- Experience leading multi-site or venue-based teams
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex operational workflows under tight timelines
- Experience working with volunteers and contingent workforce is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business administration, operations, event management, or HR preferred
Job Duties
- Lead workforce planning activities across a designated cluster of venues ensuring staffing levels and role assignments meet operational requirements
- Collaborate with operational delivery functional areas such as Event Venue Management, Transport, Food and Beverage, Uniforms, Volunteer Management to confirm operational needs and align workforce delivery
- Manage workforce readiness milestones including onboarding, training, uniform and accreditation coordination, and role assignment processes
- Serve as liaison between functional area leads and central workforce planning team to ensure timely issue resolution and service continuity
- Oversee deployment of workforce operations during Games Time ensuring coverage, service levels, and shift fulfillment
- Act as point of contact for workforce troubleshooting and service escalations at assigned venues
- Support daily operational briefings and reporting during the Games
- Work with Volunteers, Technology, Accreditation, Uniforms, and Workforce Systems teams to ensure full integration of services at venue level
- Take on cross-functional projects to ensure timely and fiscally responsible workforce planning
- Maintain workforce planning tools and tracking systems providing regular updates
- Produce operational reports on workforce deployment, service level gaps, and coverage
