Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health preferred
- Certification in designated country for health, safety, and environment
- At least 5 years experience in a health and safety role
- Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred
- Knowledge of country specific health and safety standards including OSHA and ISO
- Understanding of DOT compliance and EPA regulations
- Ability to travel 50-70 percent
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in risk assessment and accident investigation
Job Qualifications

- Experience in warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience in developing and administering health and safety programs
- Familiarity with OSHA, ISO, and internal audit qualifications
- Understanding of DOT compliance and EPA environmental regulations
Job Duties
- Identify, develop, and maintain company health and safety management systems, training programs, and procedures in line with all current legislation for the assigned country
- Perform monthly safety inspections and maintenance
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards related to dangerous goods and electric vehicles, including the development and implementation of handling, storage, and inspection protocols
- Represent the company at external audits on all health and safety matters
- Ensure compliance to audit standards and work with auditors and vendors to answer findings and complaints in a timely, efficient and professional manner
- Design and develop written health and safety procedures
- Monitor, revise, and implement ongoing updates in safety regulations, laws or reporting requirements
- Provide technical safety and health support and information to all employees
- Responsible for the coordination of risk assessment activities including record keeping
- Analyze risk assessment, near miss and accident data to present to senior management
- Develop long term strategies to reduce accidents that are data driven
- Investigate accidents including gathering all documentation in line with company policies
- Compile documentation relating to insurance claims and liaise with insurance companies, solicitors and related organizations
- Develop and deliver safety training programs to reduce workplace accidents and incidents including assessment of such training activities
- Administer mandatory safety training and ensure all newly hired employees, agency employees, contractors, visitors and transferred employees receive proper training
- Represent the company at internal, customer and supplier safety meetings presenting data, recording actions, and monitoring progress
- Work with operational teams to improve the working environment and reduce employees' exposure to hazards
- Inspect facilities, machinery and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
- Review plans and specifications for new machinery, equipment or processes to determine safety compliance
- Manage and support all documentation related to material handling equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned
