Job Description

Resort Lifestyle Communities (RLC) is a fast-growing, family-owned company dedicated to providing exceptional senior living experiences across the United States. With over 60 beautiful Independent Living Retirement Communities nationwide, RLC is committed to creating resort-style environments where seniors can thrive with dignity and joy. Each community reflects the company’s core values of respect, honesty, kindness, compassion, and service excellence, fostering close-knit, servant-hearted atmospheres where both employees and residents feel valued and cared for.

As an employer, RLC emphasizes a culture of support, leadership development, and purpose-driven work. The company offers competitive compensation, attractive benefits, and full on-site housing, making it a unique and rewarding place to grow your career while making a meaningful difference in seniors' lives.

The Community Manager role at Resort Lifestyle Communities is a distinctive leadership opportunity perfect for a dynamic couple or two-person team who are passionate about serving seniors and eager to live on-site. This role blends elements of hospitality, operations, sales, and resident relationship-building to ensure the highest standards of community life. Community Managers will reside in a comfortable, two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment within one of RLC’s communities, fully immersing themselves in daily community activities and operations.

As Community Managers, your primary responsibilities center on fostering a happy, engaging environment for both employees and residents while maintaining full occupancy and managing budgets effectively. You will lead a team of 20 or more employees across multiple departments such as sales, culinary, lifestyle coordination, housekeeping, maintenance, dining, transportation, concierge services, and more. The position demands strong leadership and hands-on involvement, calling for flexibility to step into various roles as needed to ensure smooth operations.

A typical schedule includes Sunday through Thursday shifts, with at least two nights on-call weekly, plus additional coverage for weekends, holidays, or special events. This commitment reflects the importance of being a reliable presence within the community and proactively addressing any needs or challenges that arise. The role also requires proven skills in sales and marketing to meet or exceed occupancy goals, along with budgeting expertise and financial analysis capabilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems are essential to managing operational workflows efficiently.

RLC is seeking applicants who meet their liability insurance requirements by being at least 25 years old, with a servant-leadership mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate teams. Relocation and residency on-site are mandatory, reflecting the company's dedication to integrated community leadership and providing continuous support to residents and staff alike.

This full-time position offers a competitive salary of $60,000 annually per person, plus potential profit sharing. Employees benefit from a generous $341 stipend per pay period to use toward health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, flexible spending accounts, and additional financial protection options. Paid time off and a 401(k) plan with employer match are also included, ensuring comprehensive support for personal and professional well-being.

Joining Resort Lifestyle Communities means becoming part of a mission-driven organization where your work impacts lives every single day. It is an opportunity to lead with heart in a supportive, beautiful resort-style setting that feels like family. If you and your partner are ready to contribute to a thriving senior community while advancing your leadership career, this role at RLC offers the perfect platform for a meaningful and fulfilling professional journey.
