As a Line Cook at Boyd Gaming, you will play a crucial role in the kitchen by preparing and cooking food orders promptly while adhering to standardized recipes to ensure consistency and quality. You will be responsible for overseeing food production at your station, managing inventory levels, and ensuring that every dish meets the high standards expected by both the company and its patrons. This position requires excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain a clean and safe work environment. The Line Cook will work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to coordinate food orders for pick-up efficiently, reduce waste through proper food rotation and storage, and uphold established safety and sanitation guidelines. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to assist in training and mentoring new team members, contributing to the growth and success of the culinary team. This role demands physical stamina and the ability to perform a range of movements, including lifting up to 75 pounds and standing for extended periods. Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year of experience as a cook in a professional kitchen
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of your shift
- Capacity to lift carry and maneuver up to 75 pounds
- Physical requirements include reaching grasping bending kneeling and twisting at the waist
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any necessary licenses and certifications

Job Duties
- Prepare and cook food orders promptly adhering to memorized standard recipes
- Oversee food production to ensure high-quality standards are consistently met
- Manage stock levels at your station including ordering supplies as needed
- Prepare and coordinate food orders for pick-up efficiently
- Maintain an impeccably clean work station and storage areas at all times
- Reduce waste by practicing proper food rotation storage and quantity control
- Strictly follow established safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Assist in training and mentoring new Line Cooks to excel in their roles
