The Group Sales Manager role at Gaylord Hotels acts as the critical on-property liaison responsible for managing group sales within predefined peak room parameters. The successful candidate will contract and close group business, perform site inspections, and ensure seamless turnover for quality service delivery aligned with Marriott’s brand standards. This role carries a strong focus on revenue generation, requiring active upselling to maximize each sales opportunity while implementing the brand's service strategies and initiatives across the sales process. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Four years experience in sales and marketing, guest services, or related area
  • Or two-year degree in business administration, marketing, hotel and restaurant management, or related field with two years experience
  • Ability to negotiate and close contracts
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willingness to work on-site at Nashville, Tennessee location
  • Ability to build and maintain customer relationships
  • Experience with sales forecasting and budget management

  • Ability to conduct site inspections and manage multiple tasks

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
