Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of four years of related work experience
  • Ability to travel up to 20 percent
  • Certified Baker certification preferred
  • Experience in new product development preferred

Job Duties

  • Elevate the Cargill brand within the bakery category
  • Provide technical leadership, partnership, and guidance to customers
  • Troubleshoot and develop product improvements in bakery formulations
  • Track trends and apply industry advancements to define future bakery industry needs
  • Identify new product opportunities to meet industry and customer challenges
  • Implement an innovation roadmap aligned to business strategy
  • Mentor teammates to develop competency in bakery product formulating
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, consumer insights, sales, operations, and food safety quality and regulatory
  • Develop short- and long-term testing programs for experimental and commercial products
  • Partner with sales and marketing to translate customer needs into new product development
  • Handle complex issues independently with minimal supervision
  • Perform other duties as assigned
