Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Previous work-related experience with clerical functions and coordinating events
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and collaborate with a team
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate
  • Three to five years of experience in event coordination and planning preferred
  • First-hand knowledge of UIL and UIL events preferred
  • Experience with photo and video duplication and handling preferred
  • Class C operator's driver's license
  • Must provide a current three year driving record from current state of residence
  • If not resident of Texas, must obtain a Texas driver's license within 30 days of becoming a resident

Job Duties

  • Provide support and assistance coordinating and planning UIL state championship events as assigned by the UIL athletic director
  • Work collaboratively with other UIL staff on the coordination of all UIL events, meetings and functions
  • Manage specific operations of playoff and state championship events
  • Serve as event contact for internal and external communications
  • Process video orders, duplicate videos and provide customer service relating to UIL athletic videos
  • Process photo orders, print photos and provide customer service relating to UIL athletic photos
  • Responsible for preserving and organizing UIL archival materials related to UIL athletic photos and videos
  • Assist UIL Athletic Department with correspondence, maintaining applicable web pages and state championship programs
  • Create, maintain, review, and edit UIL documents and correspondence including manuals, handbooks, compliance presentations, information guides, and eligibility forms
  • Review and file UIL Previous Athletic Participation Form as assigned
  • Answer phones through the main switchboard
  • Other duties as assigned by UIL Athletic Administrative staff
